Apps To Use When Moving Home

Moving home can be a hectic period, and any help available is much appreciated. Many of us now have a smartphone to hand and as the saying goes “there’s an app for that” and this applies to moving house. Here’s a few apps to load up on your phone if you’re moving home.

Rightmove
If you’re looking to move but haven’t made the jump yet then Rightmove is a great place to start looking for a new home with thousands of homes for sale across the UK. Use the app to easily filter the available properties to suit your needs.

Wunderlist
Wunderlist is a more general “to-do list” app but is great for making lists of items you need to remember to take with you and check off as they’re packed up. You’ll find it’s a pretty useful app all around.

Spotify
While not as practical, install Spotify, set up your account and pick an energetic pre-made playlist and you’ll find as you’re swaying around the house to tunes that the packing will pass along in no time. Find a calming track with sounds of oceans and forest afterwards to wind down and de-stress.

Just Eat
Probably the last thing on your mind after a long day of moving house is making some food. With an app like Just Eat you can easily find newly local takeaways, order through your phone and pay too, taking the hassle out of getting some grub.

Dulux Visualiser
Either while viewing houses, or after you’ve moved in, the Dulux visualiser allows you to see in real time what walls would look like with a new lick of paint. It’s not perfect, and can be a bit fiddly but for a rough idea of new shades of colour it’s quick and simple to operate.
