Moving alone

Believe us, it’s not as stressful as you think it might be. All you need to do is take precautionary steps to ensure that you don’t overburden yourself and begin to panic. Here are some steps to take to reduce that stress and make your job a lot easier.

1. Call for the A Team! (Assistance)

You don’t need to do this by yourself. If you have friends or family then call upon them to stop by and help you begin to pack your belongings for the big move. Don’t forget to maybe give them a thank you gift for helping out!

2. Don’t overburden yourself

When packing and unpacking do it in bits with frequent breaks in between. You don’t want to overexert yourself by trying to get everything all done at once. It will only tire you out and by that point you won’t have the strength to get started on placing things where they are meant to be.

3. Create a check list

A must do. Even when multiple people are moving together often things get forgotten. Create your own list to give yourself peace of mind that you won’t forget to do anything. Another handy tip is to tick off a task when it’s done so you don’t get confused about how far you’ve gotten on your list.

4. Plan way ahead!

Plan ahead even before creating your check list, in fact even plan to create your check list! Planning ahead makes sure you have everything covered from what you’re going to use to pack, who will be removing your belongings and when you are going to move.

5. Relax

Follow the above steps and keep calm and carry on! It isn’t as stressful as you may think! Grab a cup of tea and begin planning your next steps to moving.
